Coste's Walk Off in 13th, Phightins in Phirst

Chris Coste Hit an RBI single in the 13th inning of the marathon yesterday as the Phillies beat NY to reclaim first in the east.

Phillies: Kendrick (11-7)

Call me Crazy for Having Kendrick 8th, but put it like this: Kendrick can hit when he wants to but if he were to make the last out, Dobbs would lead off and get someting started.

Pat Burrell may not come back next year. If he doesn't sign an extension he would become a free agent. If I'm Pat Gillick, I would go for Fernando Tatis for two years.  If he was younger, I would give him four years.

But Today, Lefty Jamie Moyer (11-7) takes the hill against the Mets hall-of-famer Pedro Martinez (4-3)

Phils Drop Game 3

The bullpen let go of a lead last night as the phillies lost, 4-3 to Washington.

We won the series but we remain 2 1/2 back of NY

Phils Clinch, Nats streak to 11

The Phillies held on to the win last night, 5-4, as Ryan Mason picked up the win. The Nationals have lost eleven straight games. They were competition last year. At the rate they are going, it would be a 59 win season for DC.

I still can't believe J-roll called us, front runner fans.

Those are the words i sing today. Cole Hamels got win #10 (finally) as Brad Lidge clinched his 30th save in as many opportunities by striking out the side in the ninth. i personally think he will get this year's N.L. Rolaids Relief Man of the Year Award. What do you think?

Only three K's. That is not really Hamels-ish, but, he got the job done.

Tomorrow we ave a chance to gain ground in the east as the last place Nats come to town.

Brett Myers the mound for the phillies tonight against L.A. He has been dominant against the dodgers for most of his career. He will be facing the young Hiroki Kuroda tonight in Chavez Ravine.

Oh My God

The Phllies bullpen blew a 6-1 lead as philadelphia suffered a heartbreaking 7-6 loss to the dodgers on Nomar Garciaparra's walkoff shot. Despite homers by Howard (33), Werth (16) and Dobbs (5), the boys in red lost a nail biter to the bums.

Hamels got a no decesion last night as the bullpen blew a two run lead in the eaith to drop game 2, 4-3.

Howard gets 100 but Phils drop game 1

Ryan Howard hit the 100RBI mark last night but the Phillies lost game 1 to Manny and the Bums.

Phillies Win, Series is ours

The Phils won today 6-3. Utley went yard in the 7th, giving the phils 2 insurance runs. Moyer ended up on third from a bunt "triple".
